Taxonomy Based on Growth Form

When studying ‘pieces’, you could also group types of plants based on easy to identify traits, such as growth form. The piece that you study could be any group from the above taxonomy: woody vegetation, trees, conifers, Ponderosa pine, etc. At a more detailed level, you could also compare the size of maple leaves on trees growing in the shade versus trees growing in the sun.
