The TRU-OL Curriculum Media Development Group stresses two things: bring us in early to discuss your course needs, functions, or live streaming requests and expect to work with us in a highly collaborative manner. We not only build media pieces that are best-practice sound, but also help define the most effective medium to present your material.
The TRU-OL Curriculum Media Development Group produces multimedia for OL courses. Multimedia makes use of video, audio, graphics, text and animation to create learning environments that are interactive and dynamic, and often incorporate the skills of the entire Group.
The multimedia pieces we build capture the vision of instructional designers and subject matter experts, and are designed to present course concepts in a way that engages students by enabling them to interact with the course content.

We sometimes use audio recordings to illustrate correct speaking skills, or to emphasize material made in a visual medium like PowerPoint.
The TRU-Open Learning Curriculum Media Development Group produces high quality video resources for OL courses. Our production unit is small, but we're capable of creating video media pieces that best reflect the pedagogical intent of the course material.

The TRU-Open Learning Curriculum Media Development Group creates a variety of different types of images. The majority of these images are used in course material, either in print, on the web, or inserted into multimedia interactivities. Some images are also used internally, for department-related purposes.
When creating or re-creating an image, the designer works with the Intellectual Property Department to ensure it falls within copyright guidelines. In addition, care is taken to ensure the highest quality of legibility of the image, regardless of the format in which it is delivered.
